About Amanda
Amanda Taerk is the founder and managing partner of Taerk Family Law. Known for her strategic negotiating skills, she also takes on trial and litigation work when disputes can't be resolved amicably. Her background in social work informs her hands-on, client-focused approach. She began her career at two well-known Toronto family law boutiques, practicing there for a decade before starting her own sole practice. With more than two decades of experience handling family law settlements and litigation, she has built a team that tailors its approach to each client's needs. She has appeared before every level of court in Ontario, from the Superior Court of Justice and Divisional Court up through the Court of Appeal, as well as the Ontario Court of Justice. Amanda holds a BEd and BA from McGill University, a BSW from McGill, and an LLB from Western.
