About Alyssa

Alyssa Bird is a member of Peguis First Nation who graduated with her Juris Doctor from the University of Manitoba in 2019 and was called to the bar in June 2020. She practices family law exclusively, focusing on negotiation and collaborative dispute resolution with a child-centred approach. As an Indigenous lawyer, she is a frequent speaker at law firms and law school classes about her experience, and she volunteers with the Assiniboia Residential School Legacy Group.
