About Allison

Allison McAlpine grew up in Simcoe County and has practised law in the area since 2012. She earned an Honours BA in Psychology from Queen's University in 2004 and returned to Queen's for her law degree, graduating in 2007. Family law has been her main focus since she was called to the Ontario Bar, and she has practised since 2008. Allison spent part of her career away from Galbraith Family Law as co-founder and managing partner of a start-up firm before taking a year and a half sabbatical and rejoining Galbraith in 2024. She aims to resolve cases in a cost-effective, amicable way while still achieving fair results for her clients. Allison brings an empathetic approach to family law matters, working to help clients regain a sense of control through parenting, support, and property issues.
