Insurance LawAllan Powell is the founder of Powell Barrister Professional Corporation. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre from the University of Windsor in 1979 and a Bachelor of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1985, graduating as gold medalist for the Faculty of Arts, before being called to the bar in 1987. His practice has focused exclusively on civil litigation, particularly error and omissions liability defence for professional groups including real estate agents and lawyers. Allan has extensive trial experience across all levels of trial and appellate courts, tribunals, arbitrations, and mediations, handling matters in professional negligence, torts, commercial disputes, defamation, and construction. Outside the office, he is a member of the Canadian Association of Magicians and founded a charity dedicated to restoring the LaSalle Theatre in his hometown of Kirkland Lake, Ontario.
