Founder at GOLDSTEIN Divorce & Family Law Group
Allan Goldstein founded the GOLDSTEIN Divorce & Family Law Group in 1998. He earned a business degree from McGill University in 1989 and a law degree from the University of Ottawa in 1993, then spent his early years of practice at a downtown Toronto firm gaining experience in civil litigation and family law. Since starting his own firm, Allan has focused exclusively on family law and handled well over 3,000 cases. He now limits his caseload and no longer litigates himself, instead working to help clients reach negotiated settlements and staying involved in a mentoring role when a case does go to court with another lawyer at the firm. Allan has extensive experience in domestic violence matters, has served on the board of a Toronto women's shelter, and has spoken about family law at shelters and community centres across the Greater Toronto Area. He has appeared in the Ontario Court of Justice, the Superior Court of Justice, and the Ontario Court of Appeal, and has trained in interest-based mediation.
