About Alison
Alison Lester founded Lester and Associates in Cobourg in 2022, after building her practice through earlier firms including Irvine & Lester and Irvine Lester & Low. She graduated with high honours from the University of Toronto in 2002 with a BA in English Literature, then earned an LL.B and a Bachelor of Civil Law from McGill University's law school in 2005. Lester was called to the Ontario Bar in 2006 and spent six years at Gilbert's LLP, an intellectual property litigation firm in Toronto, before returning to her hometown of Cobourg in 2011. She now practises primarily as a solicitor focused on real estate, estate planning and will preparation, general corporate work, and trade-mark prosecution, and is a registered trade-mark agent. She has appeared before several Ontario courts and tribunals, and is a past president of the Northumberland County Law Association.
