About Alex
Alex Flesias is a partner at Hammond Flesias, where his practice centres on general commercial litigation with a particular focus on construction law and real estate related matters. He earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from the University of Toronto in 1997, a Master of Arts in Political Science from York University in 1998, and an LLB from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2000. Flesias began his career articling at a regional law firm in Mississauga, then practised at a construction litigation boutique before running a sole practice; he entered into partnership with Richard Hammond in 2007. He aims for reasonable resolutions for clients but is prepared to argue forcefully on their behalf when a matter requires it. Flesias has significant experience representing various stakeholders in construction lien matters and is familiar with the trust provisions of the Construction Lien Act. He also has extensive experience litigating disputes involving financial institutions and commercial landlord and tenant matters, and has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario, including the Court of Appeal.
