About Aleksandar

Aleksandar Jeremic is the founder and principal of Anchor Law, a Barrister and Solicitor based in Toronto practising immigration, refugee and citizenship law. He immigrated to Canada from the Balkans with his parents in the 1990s, an experience that shapes his approach to clients. He earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Political Science from the University of Toronto before completing his Juris Doctor at the University of Ottawa in 2014. During law school he worked at an Ottawa immigration law office and later articled at a boutique insurance defence firm, gaining advocacy experience before the Ontario Superior Court, before founding Anchor Law to focus on immigration and refugee law. He belongs to the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Ontario Bar Association, the Canadian Association of Refugee Lawyers and the Refugee Lawyers Association.
