About Feigenbaum Consulting

Feigenbaum Consulting is a cross-border tax and legal practice that Mark Feigenbaum founded in 2003, after six years in KPMG Canada's cross-border tax office. In August 2023 the practice joined KPMG in Canada, along with a nine-person team, and now operates as part of KPMG Law LLP out of KPMG's Vaughan office. It isn't a stand-alone storefront law firm anymore. It functions as a specialist group inside a larger accounting and advisory practice, though the same team continues the work it built independently for two decades.

The practice concentrates on cross-border tax planning and compliance between Canada and the United States, cross-border estate planning, family law matters that involve financial and property disputes, and litigation. Feigenbaum has argued matters before the Ontario courts, the Canadian Tax Court, the Federal Court of Canada and the Federal Court of Appeal, and in the United States before the Tax Court, several district and appeals courts, with a petition for certiorari filed at the US Supreme Court. The practice also advises clients in the sports and entertainment industry on tax and business matters. Feigenbaum is dual-qualified as a lawyer and accountant in Canada and the US, a Fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario, and has taught full-time and continues to teach part-time at the undergraduate and graduate levels in accounting, tax and law.
