Wise Law Office is a small Toronto firm founded in 1986, taking its name from founder Garry J. Wise. Wise graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1984 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1986, the same year the firm opened. Today it's a three lawyer practice working out of midtown Toronto, handling employment law, family law, wills and estates, estate litigation, and civil litigation for individuals and businesses across the GTA.
The firm has built out a couple of side projects alongside its casework. Wise developed WiseLii, a free iPhone app billed as a mobile legal research tool for Canadian case law and statutes, and the firm runs Legally Adulting, a recurring community townhall on employment law topics held at a local coffee bar. Associate lawyers Paul Adam and Somya Grover round out the team: Adam focuses on estate planning and estate litigation after articling at a small litigation firm in Hamilton, and Grover practises family and employment law and is fluent in English, Hindi, and Urdu. The firm offers free 15 minute phone or video consultations to prospective clients.
