The Law Squad is a Vaughan law firm founded in 2022 by Anthony Squadrilla, its principal lawyer. Squadrilla earned a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Society from York University, then a Juris Doctor from Michigan State University College of Law in 2020 with Cum Laude honours. While at Michigan State, Squadrilla supervised and trained students in the school's Housing Law Clinic and represented clients in district court. Squadrilla was called to the State Bar of Michigan in 2020 and to the Ontario Bar shortly after, then articled and worked as an associate at a mid sized Vaughan firm, practicing real estate, wills and estates, and general business law before opening The Law Squad.
The firm now covers residential and commercial real estate, wills and estate planning, family law, business and start up law, and private lending, acting for both borrowers and lenders on loan files. It describes its way of working as a team oriented, client up model rather than one lawyer carrying every file alone. The office keeps extended hours, open weekdays until 8 pm and Saturday mornings, a schedule built around clients who can't get away during a standard business day.
