Tarantino Law is a solo employment, human rights, and disability benefits firm based in Toronto, run by founder Rob Tarantino. Rob graduated from the University of Windsor's Faculty of Law in 2010 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2011. Before founding the firm, Rob articled as a judicial law clerk to judges of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice in Toronto, then worked as an associate and later a partner at two downtown Toronto law firms. Rob opened Tarantino Law after a decade of practice, with the stated aim of providing affordable and effective legal counsel and representation to clients working through workplace and rights based disputes.
The firm advises both employees and employers on workplace law, including contract drafting and review, wrongful and constructive dismissal, severance negotiation, workplace safety, and human rights issues that come up on the job. It also represents clients in human rights complaints before the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, the Canadian Human Rights Commission, and the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal, and pursues short and long term disability benefit claims and appeals, including Canada Pension Plan disability matters before the Social Security Tribunal. Rob has appeared for clients at the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Justice, Small Claims Court, the Ontario Labour Relations Board, and the Landlord and Tenant Board, and also offers mediation services in employment, human rights, disability, and general civil disputes. The office is at 1920 Yonge Street in Toronto's Davisville Village.
