About Preevanda K. Sapru & Leigh Salsberg (Practising in Association)

Sapru & Salsberg is a two lawyer immigration and refugee law practice in Toronto. Preevanda K. Sapru and Leigh Salsberg have practised in association, not as a formal partnership, since 2011, and the firm counts over 40 years of combined experience between them. Sapru trained first in India, earning a law degree from the University of Jammu and being called to the bar in New Delhi before practising there for three years. After immigrating to Canada, Sapru completed a Master of Laws in Public International Law at the University of Minnesota and a second law degree at Osgoode Hall Law School, then articled at Green & Spiegel and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1998.

Salsberg studied at Harvard University before earning a law degree from the University of Toronto and has practised immigration and refugee law exclusively since 2004, arguing cases at every level from the Immigration and Refugee Board up to the Supreme Court of Canada. The firm handles the full range of immigration work, including permanent residence applications, family sponsorships, refugee claims and appeals, work and study permits, express entry, and litigation before the Federal Court and Federal Court of Appeal. Both lawyers work mainly by video conference, with in person meetings at the firm's Bloor Street West office in Toronto available by appointment.
