About PI Mediation

PI Mediation is the alternative dispute resolution practice of Peter Israel, operating as P.I. Dispute Resolution Services Inc. from an office at 65 St. Clair Avenue East, Suite 200, in Toronto. Israel is also the founding partner of Israel Foulon LLP, an employment and labour law firm. Israel was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1978, after earning a J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1976 and a B.A. (Honours) from York University in 1973. Before turning to mediation, Israel spent decades as counsel to both employees and employers in sectors including healthcare, manufacturing, retail, financial services, and transportation, appearing before labour relations boards, human rights boards of inquiry, grievance arbitrators, and courts up to the Supreme Court of Canada.

Israel's mediation practice began in 2009. Israel's profile with the Canadian Academy of Distinguished Neutrals, where Israel is a Diplomate member inducted in 2020, listed 1,000 completed mediations and 50 arbitrations as of late August 2026. PI Mediation focuses on employment and labour disputes such as wrongful and constructive dismissal, workplace disputes, human rights and harassment complaints, and occupational health and safety matters, along with related civil disputes such as partnership and contract disagreements. Sessions run out of the practice's own boardroom facility or online by Zoom, and the practice does not charge separately for the use of its boardrooms.
