Peter Israel is the principal of PI Mediation and a member of the Canadian Academy of Distinguished Neutrals (CADN), an invitation-only group of dispute-resolution professionals recognized by their peers. He has more than 48 years of experience practising employment and labour law, acting as counsel for both employees and public and private sector employers in healthcare, manufacturing, retail, broadcast, high technology, financial services, insurance, and transportation. He has advised on preventative policies, employment and collective agreements, terminations, layoffs, plant closures, and successor employer obligations, and has appeared before labour relations boards, human rights boards of inquiry, employment standards referees, grievance arbitrators, and courts up to the Ontario Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada. He is the founding partner of Israel Foulon LLP, a boutique employment and labour law practice, and has been named repeatedly in the Canadian Legal LEXPERT Directory and Best Lawyers in Canada.
