About Perks Law Group

Perks Law Group is a small Toronto firm that concentrates on employment law and business law. It represents both employees and employers in workplace matters, including wrongful and constructive dismissal, severance negotiation, and human rights and harassment complaints, and it advises business owners on incorporation, shareholder agreements, mergers and acquisitions, and succession planning. The firm is run by principal lawyer Carter G. Perks out of an office at First Canadian Place on King Street West, in Toronto's Financial District, where clients are seen by appointment.

Perks earned a B.A. (Hons.) in Law from Carleton University in 2016 and an LL.B. from the University of Leeds in England in 2018, then was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2020. The practice has since covered both Toronto and Ottawa, with a business side that structures and negotiates deals for private companies and an employment side that works both directions, for people who have been let go and for the small and medium sized businesses managing them. The firm says it uses cloud-based law firm software to improve the client experience, protect client information, and keep costs down.
