Pawlina Law is a solo Toronto firm that focuses only on business law, corporate law, and intellectual property law for small and medium sized enterprises. Karol Pawlina founded the practice in the fall of 2016 and still runs it out of an appointment only office at Yonge and St. Clair. Pawlina earned a J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School and, before that, an Honours Bachelor of Engineering from Toronto Metropolitan University (then Ryerson), graduating with distinction. Pawlina was called to the Ontario bar in 2016 and is also a registered Trademark Agent in Canada. Before starting the firm, Pawlina gained experience during law school assisting with intellectual property matters, including IP litigation and trademark prosecution, at an intellectual property law firm in Toronto.
The firm's work spans incorporations and professional corporations, shareholder and partnership agreements, business purchase and sale transactions, contract drafting, and resolving disputes between business partners, alongside trademark, copyright, patent, and industrial design matters. Pawlina Law publishes its own fee schedule for common services rather than leaving pricing to a quote, and it posts a legal fees calculator so prospective clients can get a preliminary estimate before booking a consultation.

Flat feePawlina Law works by appointment only out of an office tower at Yonge Street and St. Clair Avenue West, in the part of midtown Toronto known as Deer Park. The intersection is the neighbourhood's commercial hub, built around a cluster of office buildings rather than a courthouse or civic institution, which fits a firm whose clients are mostly small and medium sized businesses rather than walk-in litigants.
Deer Park grew up as a rural estate area before Toronto annexed it in 1908, and the Yonge and St. Clair node has been a fixture of the surrounding residential streets ever since. For a lean, appointment based practice like Pawlina Law, an office in that established commercial strip means clients meet in a professional midtown setting without the overhead of a storefront.
