Pape Chaudhury LLP is a civil litigation and appeals firm in Toronto with four lawyers. Paul Pape founded the practice, and Shantona Chaudhury became a name partner in 2018. The firm works from an office at 150 York Street in the city's Financial District, and its lawyers have argued more than 160 appeals for both plaintiffs and defendants at the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Divisional Court, the Federal Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Canada. Paul Pape earned a law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School and a graduate law degree from King's College, University of London, and was called to the bar in Ontario in 1971. In 2026 the Law Society of Ontario awarded Pape the Law Society Medal, given to lawyers who have made outstanding contributions to the profession. Shantona Chaudhury was called to the bar in Ontario and in Quebec in 2007, clerked for Justice Ian Binnie at the Supreme Court of Canada, and later served as lead commission counsel for the federal Public Order Emergency Commission and the Public Inquiry into Foreign Interference. Chaudhury also co-leads the Supreme Court Advocacy Institute and speaks English and French.
