About Vaturi & Cho LLP

Clients rate this firm highly on Google.

VC Lawyers is the trade name for Vaturi and Cho LLP, a firm with one office in North York's Willowdale neighbourhood, at 1110 Finch Avenue West. The firm takes its name from two senior litigators, Avi Vaturi and Jae Hyon Cho, who lead its real estate and corporate commercial practice and its personal injury and civil litigation practice respectively. The two built the combined firm around one rule: the senior lawyer who takes a client's first call stays on that file through to its resolution. The team has since grown to include Senior Counsel Maurice Vaturi, lawyers Jun Ki Lee and Allan Weiss, and an immigration consultant.

The firm's practice covers personal injury, real estate, corporate and commercial law, wills and estates, family law, employment law, and civil litigation. It states that its lawyers have recovered more than $30 million for personal injury clients, supervised more than $1.2 billion in business and real estate transactions, and closed over 10,000 real estate files. Personal injury cases are taken on contingency, so clients pay nothing upfront and owe nothing if a claim doesn't succeed. Work is available in eight languages, including Korean and Hebrew, alongside referral partnerships with several Korean Canadian community organizations. Clients who can't travel because of an injury can arrange a hospital or home visit instead.

The neighbourhood

The office sits on the south side of Finch Avenue West, just east of Keele Street, in Willowdale. The firm describes the building as purpose-built for client meetings, with private meeting rooms and free onsite parking at the rear. It's about a five-minute drive from Highway 401 and ten minutes from Highway 400, and the 36 Finch West and 60 Steeles West buses both stop directly at the building on their way to Finch West subway station on Line 6.
