Momins Law started in 2009 as the Law Office of Salim Momin, a solo real estate and immigration practice founded by Salim and Najmussaher (Nama) Momin. It has since grown into a small family firm, still working out of a suite on Markham Road in Scarborough, and now operates under the Momins Law name. The practice covers residential and commercial real estate, commercial transactions, family law, and immigration.

Salim Momin was called to the Ontario bar in 2009 after more than a decade practising law in Gujarat, India, where Momin ran a firm with a team of associate lawyers and appeared before the High Court of Gujarat and the City Civil Court of Ahmedabad. That practice ranged across corporate law, civil litigation, personal injury claims, banking law, and criminal law. Najmussaher Momin, called to the Ontario bar in 2022, also practised law in India for more than a decade before moving to Canada, and now focuses on family law at the firm. Ayan Momin joined as a lawyer in 2025 after completing a law degree at the University of Windsor, and now works on commercial real estate and commercial transactions.
