About Mangal Law

Mangal Law is a solo personal injury practice run by Sulaiman Mangal, who was called to the Ontario bar in 2000 and opened the firm in Mississauga in 2004. The practice's current office is in Toronto's Liberty Village, inside the Toy Factory Lofts building at 43 Hanna Ave, a former toy factory that was converted into a residential loft building in 2008. From there, the firm serves clients across Toronto, Etobicoke, Mississauga, Brampton, Scarborough, and Milton.

The firm concentrates on personal injury claims arising from car accidents, slip and falls, dog bites, and bicycle, motorcycle, and pedestrian collisions, along with denied long term disability and accident benefits claims. It also takes on a less common specialty: lottery ticket ownership disputes, including cases where a co-purchaser or OLG disputes who is entitled to a win. According to the firm, Mangal personally handles every file from start to finish instead of assigning it to associates, and works on a contingency basis so clients pay a fee only if the case succeeds.

Who handles what

The neighbourhood

Mangal Law's office is in the Toy Factory Lofts at 43 Hanna Ave, a converted industrial building in Toronto's Liberty Village. The building started out as the Irwin Toy Factory and was redeveloped in 2008 into a residential loft space, keeping the original exposed brick, steel beamed ceilings, and Douglas fir posts.

Liberty Village's history goes back further than most of Toronto's loft districts. The land was once Garrison Common, a military fortification tied to the old Town of York, and it turned industrial after the railway arrived in the 1850s and drew warehouses and factories to the area. That industrial past is now home to a dense mix of small offices, Mangal Law among them.
