Lennox, who also designed Casa Loma and Old City Hall, completed the building in 1914, and it's within the St. Lawrence Neighbourhood Heritage Conservation District. A 1986 to 1987 addition joined the original tower to the neighbouring 1874 Millichamps Building around a shared atrium, and the building is a short walk from King subway station, on the block between the Financial District and the older St. Lawrence neighbourhood.
