Founder Katherine Kimel earned a B.A. Double Honours in Criminology and Sociology from Western University in 2012, receiving the University of Western Ontario Gold Medal for the highest standing average as a sociology major. Kimel went on to a J.D. from Western Law in 2015 and was called to the Ontario bar in 2016, working exclusively in estate and trust litigation ever since.

The firm now has five lawyers, all focused on will challenges, dependant support claims, power of attorney disputes, guardianship applications, and passing of accounts, along with estate administration and probate work for executors and trustees. Three of the team are members of STEP Canada, the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, and two are working toward the TEP designation. One associate was called to Brazil's OAB-RJ bar in 2007 before being called to the Ontario bar in 2023, and is fluent in Brazilian Portuguese; other lawyers on the team speak French, Hindi, and Urdu.
