About KC Commercial Law

KC Commercial Law is a solo commercial law practice with an office in downtown Toronto, focused on commercial leasing, commercial real estate purchases and sales, business purchases and sales, secured lending, and wills and estates. The founder's parents immigrated to Canada from Greece in the late 1960s and placed a strong emphasis on education, which led to a business degree from York University's Schulich School of Business and a law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School. After more than 20 years of practice at other law firms, the founder opened this solo practice to concentrate on commercial real estate and business transactions.

The client list spans national retail and restaurant chains, industrial and office tenants, commercial landlords, property management firms, institutional and private lenders, and local family businesses. Because it's a one lawyer firm, clients deal directly with the founder from start to finish rather than being passed between associates. The practice also handles secured lending files and prepares wills and estate planning documents for individuals and families.

Milestones & recognition

  • The founder is a member and frequent contributor at the International Council of Shopping Centres, an industry organization for the shopping centre and retail real estate sector.

The neighbourhood

The office sits in an 18 storey tower at 18 King Street East, in Toronto's Old Toronto core, steps from the King subway stop and the underground PATH network that links much of the downtown Financial District. It's a fitting address for a practice built around commercial leasing and real estate: the building is the same kind of multi tenant office tower the founder's clients buy, sell, and lease space in.
