Yes. The firm prepares simple, easy to understand wills and powers of attorney for a reasonable flat rate, with guidance through the process.

My family member died without a will. Can the firm help with probate?

Yes. The firm applies for a Certificate of Appointment of Estate Trustee whether or not the person left a will, and handles the process at a flat rate.

Does Kari Allen Law help transfer a property title after someone in the family has passed away?

Yes. The firm handles survivorship applications, transmission applications to an executor or estate trustee, and title transfers to a beneficiary, and has done this real estate work alongside its estate practice since 2011.

I'm too ill to come into the office. Can I still get a will done?

Yes. The firm will come to you, whether that's at home, in hospital, or elsewhere, to complete wills and powers of attorney.

Does the firm charge by the hour or a flat rate?

Wills are prepared for a flat rate, and probate and estate administration work is also billed at a flat rate.

Where is the office and how do I get there?

The office is at 286A Danforth Avenue in Toronto, between the Broadview and Chester subway stations, with municipal parking nearby and access from the Don Valley Parkway.
