Ivanov Katz LLP is a litigation firm in downtown Toronto, founded in 2024 by Vladimira Ivanov and Jordan Katz. The two trained together as articling students and litigation lawyers at McCarthy Tetrault LLP before building separate careers: Ivanov became a partner at the litigation firm Ross Nasseri LLP and then a sole practitioner, while Katz became a partner at the litigation firm Adair Goldblatt Bieber LLP. The four lawyer firm handles commercial litigation, corporate and shareholder disputes, real property disputes, tort and negligence claims, and professional liability and regulatory defence for regulated professionals such as physicians, accountants, and lawyers, along with appeals, judicial reviews, and urgent preemptive remedies such as freezing accounts and preserving evidence.
The firm's lawyers have been recognized in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in Canada, the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory, and Benchmark Litigation, and the firm names itself among The Globe and Mail's Canada's Best Law Firms 2026. Alongside the two founders, the team includes lawyers Alexia Donis and Hakim Kassam, plus Managing Director Katy Honsberger, who oversees the firm's operations and previously worked in legal talent management at McCarthy Tetrault and Miller Thomson. Honsberger began as a litigation legal assistant at Sullivan & Cromwell in New York and then Los Angeles, and later practiced as a litigator at the Center for Family Representation in New York. The office is at 3 Church Street, a restored 1914 building in Toronto's St. Lawrence Market area.
Wheelchair accessibleIvanov Katz LLP's office is at 3 Church Street, Suite 500, in Toronto's St. Lawrence Market area. The building was built in 1914 and completely restored in 1985, and it's designated under the Ontario Heritage Act as part of the St. Lawrence Neighbourhood Heritage Conservation District, with the red brick, stone detailing, and Edwardian Classical lines typical of the district. Its old commercial tenants included H.S. Howland Sons & Co., a wholesale hardware business, in the 1920s through the 1940s.
The surrounding blocks mix restaurants, shops, and residential buildings around St. Lawrence Market, and Union Station and the King subway station are each about a five minute walk away, which makes the office an easy stop for clients coming from elsewhere in the city or from out of town.
