About Gottlieb Family Law Professional Corporation

Gottlieb Family Law Professional Corporation is a small firm at 365 Bloor Street East in Toronto, practising exclusively in divorce, custody, child protection, and related family matters. Gary Gottlieb founded the firm after starting out at a downtown civil litigation practice, where a proposal to start a family law division was turned down. Gottlieb was called to the Ontario Bar in 1987 and has focused on family law ever since, building the practice from a standing start through referrals and a background in civil litigation procedure.

The firm now has six lawyers, Gary Gottlieb and five associates, along with law clerks and legal assistants, with over 60 years of combined family law experience among the team. Mira Pilch spent 23 years in child protection work, first at Niagara Family and Children's Services and then as senior counsel at the Children's Aid Society of Toronto, before joining the firm in 2018. Ayesha Rafiq practised family, criminal, and corporate law in Pakistan, including work before that country's Supreme Court, and later worked with Ontario's Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services before joining Gottlieb. Raghav Thukral, a third generation lawyer trained in India, joined the firm as a legal assistant in 2023 and was called to the Ontario Bar in October 2024.
