Ghahhary Thomas LLP is a two lawyer litigation firm on Bay Street in downtown Toronto, founded by barristers Leila Ghahhary and Dan Thomas. Both trained at the independent Bar in England before building practices in Canada, and the firm carries that barrister background into its litigation work here. It handles corporate and commercial litigation, securities litigation, government and public law, international arbitration and public international law, public inquiries and inquests, and white collar defence and regulatory investigations, with lawyers appearing before courts, tribunals, and inquiries in both Canada and the UK.

Dan Thomas earned a law degree from the University of Nottingham in 2004, studied at the National University of Singapore, and completed an LLM in international business law at the University of Manchester. In 2005-06 Thomas was a Fox Scholar with McCarthy Tetrault LLP before completing pupillage at a commercial set of chambers in London, and was called to the England and Wales Bar in 2005. After roughly a dozen years practising as a UK barrister, Thomas joined McCarthy Tetrault's Toronto litigation group and was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2020. Ghahhary joined the UK independent Bar in 2012 after ten years as an in house government lawyer, and later completed an LLM at Columbia Law School in 2023 focused on public international law, global governance, and international human rights.
