Davies Bagambiire Professional Corporation is a small Toronto litigation firm founded by Davies Bagambiire, admitted to the Nova Scotia Bar in 1979 after articling in Halifax with the former firm of Kitz, Matheson, Green and MacIsaac. Bagambiire came to Canada after leaving Uganda in 1976 and holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the University of Dar es Salaam, an LL.M. from Dalhousie Law School, and a Diploma in Legal Practice from Kampala, Uganda. In 1989, Bagambiire joined Dalhousie's Faculty of Law as an associate professor, teaching administrative, commercial and immigration law, and served as the first executive director of the school's Indigenous Blacks and MicMacs Programme.
In 1994, Bagambiire moved to Toronto to lead the African Canadian Legal Clinic as its first executive director, then returned to private practice in 1996 under the current firm name, now based at 368 Bloor Street East. The firm handles civil litigation for plaintiffs, including personal injury, medical malpractice, human rights and immigration and refugee law. Bagambiire wrote Canadian Immigration and Refugee Law, published in 1996 and cited by the Supreme Court of Canada. Associate lawyer Robert V.
