CSuite Law is a one-lawyer Toronto firm focused on employment law and executive compensation advice for employees, executives, companies and boards of directors, handling matters such as wrongful and constructive dismissal and workplace harassment and discrimination. Nadine Cote founded the firm after working at Davis LLP, Ernst & Young LLP, Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP, Manulife Financial and Torys LLP. Nadine earned a Bachelor of Commerce from Concordia University in 1992, an LL.B. from the University of Western Ontario in 1997, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1999.
Nadine also wrote Executive Compensation: A Director's Guide, which the firm describes as the only comprehensive book in Canada on the subject. Thomson Reuters has published it since 2006, updating it twice a year with quarterly newsletters, and a student edition of the book became the teaching text for the executive compensation course at Dalhousie University's Centre for Advanced Management Education, part of its Certified Employee Benefit Specialist program. The firm also keeps strategic alliances with Cobblestone Human Capital, SkyLaw LLP and Career Lion, giving clients access to recruiting, corporate law and career branding help alongside the legal work.
CSuite Law's office is in First Canadian Place, a 72-storey tower at the corner of King and Bay streets that held the title of Canada's tallest building for 50 years, from its completion in 1975 until The One surpassed it in 2025. The tower connects directly into Toronto's underground PATH network, and King Subway Station is the nearest TTC stop, and it has long served as the global operational executive office of the Bank of Montreal. Working from the middle of the Financial District puts the firm in the same few blocks as many of the banks, pension funds and public companies whose executives and boards it advises on compensation, severance and workplace matters.
