About Constantine Legal

Constantine Legal is a sole practice in downtown Toronto, operated by Lisa M. Constantine through Lisa M. Constantine Professional Corporation. Before opening the firm, Constantine spent more than 20 years at one of Canada's national law firms, and that background shaped a practice built around commercial litigation, health law and regulated professionals, education law, and administrative tribunals.

The litigation side covers commercial disputes for corporate clients, including multinational companies, Schedule I Canadian banks, insurance companies, and investment brokerages, handled through civil actions and arbitration. A separate line of work is health law: defending physicians and other regulated professionals in civil claims, disciplinary hearings, human rights complaints, and hospital privileges disputes, with appearances before bodies such as the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board.

For close to two decades the practice has also represented universities in academic and non-academic discipline cases, human rights matters, and Ontario Divisional Court proceedings, work reflected in membership in the Canadian Association of University Solicitors and regular presentations at its annual conference. Constantine Legal also offers general counsel services on a fixed fee or hourly basis, giving businesses ongoing legal support without hiring a full in-house department.
