About C'est la Vie Estate Law

C'est la Vie Estate Law is a solo Toronto practice run by Jordana Talsky, who was called to the Ontario Bar in 2010. Talsky holds a law degree from the University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from McGill University. Before setting up an independent practice, Talsky worked at firms on Bay Street and at smaller firms, and also served as an Estate and Trust Consultant for Scotiabank.

The practice concentrates on wills and succession planning, testamentary and inter vivos trusts, probate planning and applications, estate administration, powers of attorney, and incapacity planning, including Henson Trusts and planning for people with special needs. Talsky also offers notary and commissioning services and drafts domestic contracts. Talsky has led estate planning workshops, spoken at non-profit organizations, and taught the estate law bar exam preparation course to internationally trained candidates preparing to qualify in Ontario.
