Tran v. Bloorston Farms Ltd., 2020 ONCA 440
Evan L. Tingley acted for the respondents, a tenant and the tenant's restaurant corporation, after the landlord, Bloorston Farms Ltd., terminated the lease of premises at 252 Carlton Street in Toronto. The court held that only the tenant had a cause of action for the wrongful termination, so the rule in Foss v. Harbottle didn't apply, and it dismissed the landlord's appeal.
