About Progressive Legal Solutions

Progressive Legal Solutions (PLS) is an Ontario family law firm handling separation, divorce, parenting arrangements, child and spousal support, and property division, including matters involving high net worth clients and business owners. The firm was founded by principal lawyer Evgeniy Osipov, who studied law at the University of Alberta in 2015 and 2016 before earning a Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University in 2018, and who has practiced exclusively in family law since being called to the bar. Osipov articled at the Family Responsibility Office (FRO) and continues to serve as an FRO panel lawyer, an ongoing connection to how Ontario enforces child and spousal support orders.

PLS works from two primary offices, in Barrie and in North York, and also arranges client meetings at Regus business centres across Toronto and the GTA. Its practice extends into fertility law, covering donor and surrogacy agreements, and into international family law, including cross-border custody disputes and the recognition of foreign support orders. Osipov was counsel in a 2023 Ontario Superior Court case that set aside registration of a German child support order. The team also includes lawyers with backgrounds in criminal defence and a certified family mediator, and Spanish-language service is available.
