Brock Medical Malpractice Law PC is a Barrie firm built around a single area of law: medical malpractice. Gayle Brock founded the practice in April 2010, after 14 years litigating medical malpractice cases at another personal injury firm. Brock earned a law degree from Western University Law School in 1992, a Master of Laws from the University of Sydney in Australia in 1996, and was called to the Ontario bar in 1994, later arguing cases before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Divisional Court, and the Court of Appeal.

The firm takes on only injured patients and their families and never represents physicians, nurses, midwives, or hospitals, a distinction it draws deliberately in how it describes its own work. Its caseload spans birth trauma, surgical and medication errors, failure to diagnose, and hospital and emergency department negligence, among other categories. Lawyer Nicholas Fleming, who holds a health law focused JD from the University of Ottawa and a science degree in immunology and microbiology from the University of Toronto, started at the firm as a summer student and became a lawyer in 2023. The firm works on contingency and represents clients from across Ontario, not only the Barrie area.
