About Fox Law Professional Corporation

Fox Law Professional Corporation is a law firm in downtown Peterborough, Ontario, with three lawyers working out of an office on Water Street. Bill Fox began practicing as a sole practitioner in Peterborough in 1984, after working as an associate at firms including Howell and Fleming, and the firm's own site describes it as operating in the city for more than 40 years. Ross Pryde and Nicole Truman joined in 2014, took over the practice in 2016, and Bill Fox retired in 2019. Mackenzy Scott, who joined the firm as a summer student in 2019 and returned each summer before completing articles there, became its third lawyer in 2022.

The firm concentrates on business law, real estate, wills, powers of attorney and estate administration, working with sole proprietors, corporations and individuals across Peterborough and the surrounding county. Pryde practiced in Port Perry after an earlier career with Toronto professional sports organizations, including the Toronto Maple Leafs, before studying law at the University of Ottawa. Truman grew up in Peterborough, worked at Canadian Tire's Toronto head office and the Greater Peterborough Area Economic Development Corporation, then earned a law degree at Queen's University before returning home to join the firm in 2014.

Scott grew up in nearby Keene, Ontario, and holds a law degree from the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law at Lakehead University along with an earlier degree in environmental and resource science from Trent University.
