About Payette & Neal

Payette & Neal is a small general practice in the Alta Vista and South Ottawa area, working out of an office on Bank Street. The firm has operated in various forms for over 25 years, growing out of Conlin & Payette, which practiced in the same area from 1994 to 2016, and taking its current name after Steven Neal joined founding lawyer Cheryl Payette in February 2017. Payette & Neal keeps its practice to three areas: real estate law, wills and estates, and notarization, and both lawyers at the firm are also notaries public.

Payette earned a B.A. (Hons) from Carleton University in 1988 and an LLB from Queen's University's Faculty of Law in 1992, then was called to the Ontario bar in 1994, spending 22 years at Conlin & Payette before the firm took its current name. Neal earned a B.A. (Hons) in Philosophy from the University of Ottawa in 2008 and a Juris Doctor from the University of Saskatchewan's College of Law in 2012, was called to the bar in Saskatchewan in May 2015 after practicing in Melville, Saskatchewan, and was admitted to the Law Society of Ontario in September 2016.
