Lavery, de Billy is a Quebec business law firm headquartered in Montreal, with additional offices in Quebec City, Sherbrooke and Trois-Rivières. The firm has around 200 professionals, including lawyers, notaries, and trademark and patent agents, working across those four locations. Its roots go back to 1913, when Maurice Dupré and Onésime Gagnon founded a law practice in Quebec City, and to a related Montreal firm founded in 1926 by Charles Audette and Aimé Lorrain. The two lines eventually merged, first into Lavery, O'Brien in Montreal in 1979, then with the Quebec City firm of Gagnon, de Billy in 1991 to form Lavery, de Billy. The intellectual property firm Goudreau Gage Dubuc joined Lavery in 2018, expanding its patent and trademark practice.

Lavery covers a broad range of business law areas, including corporate and commercial matters, labour and employment, commercial litigation, public and administrative law, taxation, real estate and intellectual property. Its family law group was named to Canadian Lawyer's Top Family Law Firm Teams list for 2026. The firm has also invested in legal technology since 2017 through an internal lab it calls L3AI, and in 2026 it introduced an in-house AI assistant named Billy, a nod to named partner Valmore de Billy, hosted on the firm's own servers rather than an outside provider.
