Geller Law operates from a small office on Glebe Avenue in Ottawa, working today as a business name of Sotos LLP. Founder Harold Geller has been licensed to practise law in Ontario since 1993 and holds a law degree from Dalhousie University and an honours degree from Queen's University, along with training through the Canadian Securities Institute. The practice focuses on investment loss recovery, financial advisor misconduct, and denied life insurance claims, representing investors, policyholders, beneficiaries, and families across Canada outside Quebec. The firm's own figures put its client base at more than 1,500 people, with over $500 million recovered.

Geller Law's Ottawa practice has a long history under different names. Trade press identified the firm's founder as a lawyer at Milton, Geller as far back as 2005, and a 2018 regulatory announcement described the founder as leading the financial loss recovery group at MBC Law. The practice later operated as H. Geller Professional Corporation, until Sotos LLP, a Toronto litigation firm, welcomed Harold Geller as a securities and life insurance litigation lawyer in July 2026; Geller Law now continues on as a business name under that firm. Much of the caseload is handled remotely, by video call and digital document exchange, since clients are spread across the country rather than concentrated in Ottawa.
