About Maple Workplace Law

Maple Workplace Law is a solo employment law practice based in downtown London, Ontario, run by founder Tiffany Thomas. Thomas earned a JD from the University of Ottawa's Common Law Program in 2017 and was called to the Ontario bar in 2019. Before opening the firm in 2025, Thomas served as labour and employment counsel at the Toronto District School Board from 2019 to 2022, then worked as an associate at SpringLaw, a Toronto employment law firm, from 2022 to 2025.

The firm represents employees across Ontario on wrongful dismissal, constructive dismissal, severance review, workplace harassment and discrimination, workplace accommodation and investigations, and employment contract review, and it also advises a small number of startup and small business employers. The firm serves clients remotely across Ontario, and the practice reaches well beyond London into the Greater Toronto Area, Kitchener-Waterloo, Hamilton, Windsor, and Huron County. The firm's name, Maple, was a childhood nickname from Thomas's mother, and Thomas has said the focus on representing employees, especially women facing workplace challenges, traces to watching a parent work hard in systems that were not built with people like that parent in mind.
