About Banbury Law

Banbury Law is a small transactional law firm in Georgetown, Ontario, part of the Town of Halton Hills. Clinton D. Banbury, originally from Saskatchewan, opened a solicitor's practice in Georgetown in 1977, after attending university in Regina and Toronto and graduating from law school in Ottawa. The practice still runs from the same town under the Banbury name.

The firm handles real estate, corporate and commercial law, wills, powers of attorney, and estate administration. Ashley J. Banbury, a relative of the founder, joined the practice in early 2020 after being called to the Ontario Bar in 2019. Ashley Banbury studied at Osgoode Hall Law School, took part in its International and Transnational Law Intensive Program, and interned with the United Nations Mechanism for International Criminal Tribunals in The Hague as part of that program; one of the papers written during law school won the Ursel Phillips Fellows award. The firm keeps its team small; it's built around open communication rather than scale.
