RA Lawyers, also registered as Ramirez Allison LLP, is a small firm on Mill Street in downtown Georgetown, part of the town of Halton Hills. The practice traces back to Richard T. Howitt, who established a law practice in Georgetown in 1973 after nine years practising litigation in Toronto and a year at Norton Rose in London, England, and who was appointed Queen's Counsel in 1976. For years the firm operated under the name Howitt and Allison. It's now led by partners Scott B. Allison and Noemi D. Ramirez, with Howitt retired from active practice.

The firm's work is organized around three areas: corporate law, real estate law, and wills and estates, and it also acts as a notary and commissioner of oaths for routine matters like certified true copies, court affidavits, and travel consent letters for children. Ramirez earned a law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in January 2011, after a bachelor's degree in social work from Michigan State University, and Ramirez's own practice centres on real estate law, estate planning, and estate administration. Allison holds a B.Comm and a J.D. Several members of the support staff have been with the practice for years, including at least one law clerk who joined when the firm was still known as Howitt and Allison.
