About The Brown Law Firm

The Brown Law Firm is a small firm working out of an office suite on South Service Road in Burlington, Ontario. Thomas W. Brown started the practice in March 1999, after several years at two other firms following a 1993 law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School and a 1995 call to the bar. Today the practice has two lawyers: Brown, whose work centers on corporate and commercial matters, real estate, and estate planning, and associate Hussein Kudrati, who covers similar ground and also handles business succession planning.

Kudrati brings a cross border credential to the team, admitted to practice law in both Ontario and California after an undergraduate degree at Queen's University, a masters degree in London, England, and law school in California. Time spent in a family business shapes Kudrati's work with business owners on incorporations, shareholder agreements, and succession planning. The firm describes its approach as a team one, drawing on a network of accountants, financial advisors, and other professionals when a client's matter calls for it, and referring out work that falls outside its corporate, real estate, and estate planning focus.
