About Paquette & Paquette

Paquette & Paquette is a law firm based in Val Caron, part of Greater Sudbury, with roots going back more than 50 years. Founding partner Norman N. Paquette was called to the Ontario bar in 1964 after studying at a Jesuit college, the Faculty of Law at the University of Ottawa, and the bar admission course at Osgoode Hall. Norman went on to serve as a federal prosecutor for the Attorney General of Canada, a deputy judge of the Small Claims Court for more than 30 years, and a judge on the Canada Pension Plan Appeal Tribunal, before retiring from active practice.

Edmond J. Paquette, called to the Ontario bar in 1995 and a former president of the Sudbury Law Association, now leads the firm as president and focuses on personal injury litigation. The current team of five lawyers also practices long-term disability litigation, criminal defence, real estate, wills and estates, and corporate and commercial law, bringing more than 100 years of combined experience to personal injury files. The firm serves clients in both English and French. Lawyer Trevor R. Volway is a member of l'Association des Juristes d'Expression Française de l'Ontario, reflecting the firm's ties to the area's francophone community. Personal injury matters are handled on a no fee unless we settle basis, so clients don't pay unless Paquette & Paquette recovers a settlement or judgment for them.
