Larry Peterson earned a B.A. from Laurentian University in 1970 and an LL.B. from Queen's University in 1974, articled with H. D. Peterson, Q.C., and was called to the bar in 1976. After opening a branch office in Blind River and a third office in Sault Ste Marie in the late 1970s, the firm has operated across all three Algoma District communities ever since. Peterson & Peterson practises in real estate, wills and estate planning, business and corporate law, civil litigation, mining law, and matters involving American estates, including cross-border probate and property transfers for American owners of Canadian land.
