East Coast Environmental Law is a non-profit organization based in Halifax, Nova Scotia that provides public-interest environmental law services across Atlantic Canada. Its staff lawyers advocate for progressive environmental and climate law and policy, offer public legal education, and support individuals and communities working to prevent or redress environmental harms. The organization was founded in 2007 and is also guided by a volunteer Board of Directors drawn from law, academia and community advocacy.
