About William

Bill Shaw is counsel at McDougall Gauley LLP in Saskatoon, practising commercial and residential finance, real estate, and banking and credit union law, along with corporate governance and tax planning. He has acted for individuals, small businesses, large corporations, and institutions, and was involved in developing Saskatchewan's Credit Union Act and Co-operative Associations Act. Bill has volunteered for decades in the sport of water polo, including with the Aquatic Federation of Canada and international water polo bodies. He was appointed Queen's Counsel in 2013 and has been recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada for construction, corporate, and real estate law. Bill earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Saskatchewan, in 1971 and 1972 respectively, and was called to the Saskatchewan bar in 1973.
