About Walter

Walter Kubitz is a senior Calgary lawyer known for his work in personal injury and wrongful death litigation. Born and raised in Calgary, he graduated from the University of Calgary Faculty of Law in 1987 and was called to the Alberta bar in 1988. He has extensive experience in litigation, negotiation and judicial and private mediation, and is ranked as consistently recommended in the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory based on an annual peer survey. Walter served as President of the Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers Association and President of the Canadian Bar Association's Personal Injury Section, and regularly mentors other lawyers and speaks at legal conferences. He was appointed Queen's Counsel, now King's Counsel, in 2010 in recognition of his loyalty, integrity and ability.
