About Maurice

Maurice Mirosolin studied political science at York University before earning his law degree at the University of Westminster in London. After completing his articles there, he was admitted to practise as a solicitor in England and Wales and began his career in Brighton. He was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2003 and to the Bar of British Columbia in 2010. From 2008 to 2015 he was an associate and then partner at the Toronto firm Lockyer Campbell Posner, before relocating to British Columbia in 2015 to join a civil litigation boutique. Maurice focuses on appellate and trial advocacy with extensive experience in both jury and judge-alone trials, and has appeared as lead counsel for clients charged with serious offences under the Criminal Code and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. His civil litigation work has also achieved reduced damages awards for clients at trial and on appeal. He is a guest instructor in the McEachern Trial Advocacy Program at UBC's Allard School of Law and a contributing author to the British Columbia Motor Vehicle Accident Claims Practice Manual.
