About Viqar

Viqar previously served as legal counsel for the Workers' Compensation Board of Alberta and has practised law for decades, representing both injured workers and employers in WCB matters across Alberta. He was appointed Queen's Counsel in 2004 in recognition of his contributions to the legal profession. He wrote a book on workers' compensation in Alberta, for which he was awarded a Master of Philosophy by the University of London, covering the Workers' Compensation Act, compensable injuries, assessments, and appellate procedures. He has represented clients before the Appeals Commission for Alberta Workers' Compensation, the Court of King's Bench of Alberta, and the Alberta Court of Appeal.
